Many users have asked us to recommend reading materials to improve their trading skills. We have compiled this list as a suggest introduction to technical analysis. We suggest that if you are new to technical analysis you read these selections in the order shown.

Rolling Stocks, Making Money on The Ups and Downs by Gregory Witt

Easy to read and great for stocks under $5.00. If you want to trade the big caps you can skip this one, but I suggest you read it anyway.

Trader Vic - Methods of a Wall Street Master by Victor Sperandeo

Study Chapter 7, "Where Fortunes are Made, Identifying a Change in Trend"  (Very important)

Trading for a Living by Dr. Alexander Elder MD

This book teaches the Math and Psychology of technical analysis. (must read)

The Visual Investor by John Murphy

More great information on technical analysis and trend line trading.

Candlestick Charting Explained by Gregory L. Morris

This is more a reference book but will get you up to speed on candlesticks and you will want it in your library.

New Trading Dimensions by Bill Williams

This will teach you more about Moving Averages, MACD, and Elliot Wave Theory You will see patterns in charts that others miss after you have read this book.

Elliot Wave Principle: Key to Market Behavior by Frost and Prechter

The Elliot wave theory original work. Whether you want to trade Elliot Wave or not, you will want to be conversant in the Elliot Wave Theory and it will give you a valuable tool when viewing chart patterns.
